I'm glad they included the rounder Season 1 head. A lot of my favorite episodes use that look, so there was always this niggling thought in the back of my head that something was "off" about modern Optimus heads.

It wasn't really off model. Season 1 had a different model than Season 2 for the head.

I could honestly see them releasing Optimus with both heads-- in Season 1 his head model was different before it was refined into the one later seasons and the movie used. Since he wouldn't have swappable faces like other MP toys, and Inferno/Grapple got their "alternative" character model heads too.

Which I would actually like a lot, as season 1 Optimus is my mental image.
