>>9989401I'm actually planning on trying to do just that. I haven't yet acquired a 3D printer but I'm working on my Blender skills, so hopefully when I get one I can start proonting designs and will already be well on the way to having something to actually prototype. Thinking of going the Daibadi route of the actually printed resin pieces just being the body parts, designed to use readily available off-the-shelf joints or very simple materials where possible (like standardized magnets, metal pins or 3mm plastic rod at most) but I have heard you can actually make functional joints with the right resin blends.
As far as ideas for figures:
>"Articulated Coomer Bait Art"- Range of lewd figures of various archetypes, usually using base bodies using the inherent modularity to allow for easily swapped parts to create a nearly endless cast of characters. Yes, I am the guy who won't stop posting his shortstack Blender model on Customs General.>Quasi-realistic (or at least differently styled) takes on anime characters using a similar setup. Have a plan for a Ryuko in Senketsu form, with delicious toned body and a sort of Gigeresque design for Senketsu himself>On the other end of the scale, me and a fren brainstormed a hypothetical Megcua line inspired by Aqua Shooters, but with a dress-up gimmick instead of water guns. Each "Puchi Magica" figure comes with three outfits- "Base" (canon), "Speed" (lighter and more, uh, revealing) and "Defence" (Bigger and poofier). On the last one I actually drew up a quick sketch concept. Started with Kyoko because that's her favourite meguca. Speed and Defence outfits are Arab/harem dancer and nun respectively. Also if you can read my retarded handwriting, I forgot to note on there that the hips and chest are both balljoints. If you can read them though good luck, pretty sure witch runes are less alien.
