Like Yoko Tsuno is a long-running children's scifi comic that features a POC woman as its main character and nobody ever though that this clearly was white genocide. Jessica Blandy (crime), Adele Blanc-Sec (mystery/horror) Natacha (adventure, kids), Aria (science fantasy) - all popular series that have been running for decades and feature women MCs.
Ya all just victim to IP farmers who make some bucks on the side by running a comic book monopoly out of sheer habit and a culture that makes women or POC characters *special* rather than a normal part of the comic market.
