And would it be worth it to the owner? What marketing benefits would Marvel get from putting GI Joes into the Marvel universe? Probably nothing, since GI Joe brought nothing to the table that would raise popularity for Marvel.
That sort of cross over would only be beneficial to Hasbro and there's really nothing that stops kids from just playing with their Marvel and GI Joes figures together. Plus, would fans give a shit, especially since there was no cross over back in the 80s when the comics were made by Marvel? Doesn't seem worth the money to pay for some cross over.
Also, HAsbro was already doing Marvel cross overs with Transformers back then and that shit wasn't that popuar. I forget if the Star Wars ones lasted more than a year.
