Eventually you will find that the joy you got from opening a new toy is more or less the same as opening a box of trash bags to throw out the garbage in your kitchen and it becomes easier to ration what you want/need in your collection.
Life is a series of compromises and collecting is no different. Instead of being horrified of your spending, be happy you still feel something about it. Don't stress the money spent, if you're not putting yourself in any dire situations. There's always more money out there to be had and in the end you can't take it with you when you're gone.
