>Their hope may be that supply whittles down as other people get low balled and they suddenly have one of the handful of NIB sets years after releaseOnce again there are plenty of boxed spongebob sets still released. No one really cares the theme stopped selling around 2012 and sales weren’t great for the theme.
>its a collectors itemLego spongebob set a collectors item. Your arguing Lego spongebob sets are a collectors item? Its was never even a popular Lego theme like Star Wars, Creators Expert, etc.
Once again 4 sales in half a year no one is interested in most sets these (( RESELLERS )) have to offer. Lego isn’t an investment and there is no liquidity to support multiple sellers or the sale price. Its literally people trying to sell overpriced toys for x4 their value and crossing their fingers they are the 6 people this year who get the sale.
They would of made more money if they bought the s&p500 and set it to reinvest the dividends. But instead they hold onto these Lego sets for years lose money in opportunity cost and can’t even liquidate
