The hate bandwagon FFXIII received after the game's release was always a bit of a meme considering FFX had the same exact pros and cons (great music, great art direction, solid combat, entertaining optional content, sub-par story, cutscenes that triggered every five steps, extreme linearity, no traversable world map, etc), but people continue to suck off FFX as if it were the greatest game ever. You can probably blame e-celebs for why people continue to parrot the same two talking points regarding FFXIII in spite of how tired it is.
