Simillar universe and themes but different characters and rules, kinda like glatorians if they were a different franchise.
Making reboot with same characters is kinda pointless, G2 was just 2001-2003 but much worse.
G2 builds were good, they combined functions and poseability, their problem was CCBS shells.
Those were just too smooth, no texture, no design, and those stupid clown feet.
It didnt have bionicle feel.
They tried to fix this in 2016, it went mostly ok, if they didnt spam crystal themed pieces and designed beter torso armour it could be great.
And they also spamed silver and gold armour pieces.
While i did not really care about this (except Tahu, just look at him), many people did.
I believe that they could find perfect balance in third year.
