Someone is asking whether it's worth $140 or not, so I'm comparing it to other toys that are similar in scope and size. How else can you offer an opinion on whether it's worth it or not?
Other toys offer better features for not a lot of money or more features for the same price. So based on features, is it WORTH it? NOPE, because like you said, it's just a box that really isn't doing anything. That's great that you can post it balanced, but it might as well be the Sasuke balancing toy that's a meme here on /toy/. It really doesn't do much except look boxy.
As i said in my post, if he's just a big Blood Angels and/or classic Dreadnoughts fan, then it's a foregone conclusion. He might as well not ask our opinions, since it's his only chance to get it in 1:18 scale. But again, since these toys tend to sit around for a year (if not longer) chances are there's going to go on sale constantly or even get clearanced.
My buying the Dreadnoughts wasn't a foregone conclusion though, because like Iv'e said many times, Joytoy's plastics are shit and i wait a good amount of time to see how durable their toys actually are. I skip so much shit from Joytoy because of reports of shitty plastics, yet these held up fine (thicker plastics are less likely to break, unlike humans and xenos, and thin shit on Space Marines).
So speaking as someone who owns a shit load of toy brands, unlike a 1 brand fanboy like yourself, I have a good amount experience and knowledge to say they're not worth $145. Or even $100.
They're small. They have the poseability of a basic 5PoA figure (yes, they have ball joints and ball hinged limbs, but it's still a box). They don't come with any accessories. There's other toys that offer better, more, and for cheaper.
