Hey /lg/, it's been a long fucking while since I was here. I'm that dude that has the random, old-as-shit red space guy who in bullshit autism lore is a functioning alcoholic PI.
Yeah, I got off the Lego boat a couple years ago and got back into model trains for my autism. I'm in a club and all that fun shit.
I need your guys' help, because I remember seeing posts about this kind of shit when I lurked all the time. This isn't lego, specifically, but this is the only place I could think that deals with this kind of shit.
I just bought a 40-year-old American Freedom Train set that is hard as fuck to find for sale. Like, it's legit desirable. My concern here is that the cars are molded white plastic with red and blue stripes painted on. The white plastic has obviously aged and undergone some color staining as a result, so now it's a vaguely off-white/yellow blend that looks very off compared to the white paint on the locomotive. Is there anything I can do to brighten this shit up?
Also what's the product suggested for lego "glass" pieces like windshields? The windows on this exhibit car are kinda hazy and I'd like to fix that.
I'll post a bunch of lego train shit to make up for my off-topic pic.
