>>8318683When you buy a piece of art to hang on your wall, do you exclusively buy art of things you know? Just continual redraws of characters from stuff you like? When you go to see a movie, do you only choose movies based on what you like already? How do you encounter new things? Not to over-assume or be judgey, but that seems like an incredibly closed-minded, "pop culture is my life" way of approaching art.
Original toys are just like original film or original art: their value to you stands on its own. I like Mythic Legions (and Acid Rain World, and World War Robot, and Polynian) because I find them aesthetically pleasing, and fun to pose, and fun to interact with. I don't buy them to indicate my "fandom", I buy them because I like how they look, and how they can represent whatever I like when I pose them or photograph them. I mean heck, I've never watched an episode of any gundam series, but I own several Gunpla kits because I like how they look, and they are fun to build.
Also, Mythic legions is pretty much fully modular. allowing for creative kitbashing to create new "characters"
