>>7161035I know exactly what you mean about the GFF feel, and it's something I dislike as well. It's like a kinda crumbly feeling to the plastic.
>Does the ReZEL feel like an RD essentially? No, not at all. Rezel's plastic is way more solid than the plastic in standard GFFs, but it doesn't feel as durable as RD plastic. GFF's plastic feels more like gunpla plastic, just slightly denser. In sum, I don't think that the Rezel would survive a drop onto hard flooring, whereas with most RDs I wouldn't be as concerned about such a drop (aside from V-fins and antenna).
>Are MBs (and GFFMC featuring MB Wing Zero) like big MRDs?MBs feel even better to me in-hand than Metal RDs, so I think if you're happy with MRDs you'll be pleased with MBs. They just feel like great, solid toys that also happen to have super detailing. The diecast content is quite noticeable as well. GFFMC Wing Zero EW feels very much like an MB, though it does feel sliiiightly less solid than an MB. Part of it is the intricate design of the Wing, but Wing also uses less diecast in some areas compared to an MB (most noticeable to me, the knee joints on MBs are generally entirely diecast, whereas on Wing they are mostly plastic, POM I believe, with some diecast). Wing does make some of it back by using a hefty amount of diecast for the wing connection frame, and Wing's sculpt is very sharp!
I'm a huge Unicorn fan, so I've always thought about picking up one of the GFFMCs; your observations on Banshee are interesting as I haven't come across those criticisms before. I wonder if perhaps GFFMC Banshee suffers a bit due to having to model many small panels involved in transforming between Destroy and Unicorn mode.
