I collect mostly vinyls or 6" figures from the movies I like or designs I prefer. I have a shelf of Ultraman and Gridman monsters, even though I never saw an episode. I have five shelves devoted to Godzilla stuff. There is one for SD stuff and the rest for figures. I have one giant X-Plus figure (pic related) who takes up a quarter of a shelf. I have to start making room for new figures. Most are from my favorite movies ('54, anything from the two Showa MechaG movies, Godzilla 2000, Godzilla Against MechaG, Godzilla 2014, Shin).
