After a thorough ass-kicking, Primal finally managed to drag him down into Cybertron's organic core, where they were both killed. Turns out this was Vector Sigma 's/The Oracle's plan the whole time, and their deaths set off the Great Reformatting that turned the whole planet (and all of the newly revived Cybertronians) technorganic.
