I just browsed the Japanese secondary market for more info and from the photos listed, it looks like all 4 types use the same mold - except for the mandibles (which are separate ball-joint parts). Beetle #4 (the one with the most paint) seems to be the rare one (with sellers listing it for 2000+yen- but it's early days).
The legs look nice- with articulation between the femur and tibia, and they look thinner and more delicate than the ones on my Takara Tomy BIG Beetles (I'll have to see if if the new legs have swap potential).
