>>8950990Yeah, pretty much why I sold all my non collector grade figures, and swapped mostly to the higher end stuff. I still get the occasional Robot Damashii, and I own a Psycho red, but outside of the few outliers I mostly just save my cash for the big quality stuff.
I don't want to give my money to shitty companies like Hasbro, NECA, or McFarlane anymore, it's just like comics where the major competitors all suck so you just go to manga Image, or nothing at all. Surprisingly, Jazzwares is the one company that's good now, the one that back in the 00's was a joke and made nothing but garbage until their MK figures, is now probably the best company..
Mafex still makes alright stuff when it's not QC ridden, revoltech is always what you expect, and figma is.....well overpriced garbage at this point. It's no longer just increasing production cost, they're just getting greedy and putting in less effort.
