Any tips for securing 1:18 cars to display cases? Both the case and the underside of the car have no screw/mounting holes in them.
I was originally thinking of drilling 2 holes in the case base and the underside of the car and using screws and some sort of black spacer or a piece of black rubber hose to hide the screw, but then I saw someone suggest using wire around the axles, and drilling holes in the base to thread them through, so this way I don't have to drill into the car, just several through the base.
>>7900638I bought some during a Black Friday sale at "modelcarworld" who also have a sister site "american-excellence" Worked out to around $10 a case after discount/combined shipping and survived the trip from Germany to Australia. They're not perfect, have a couple of marks here and there from manufacturing, etc, but they'll do the job for me.
I was going to link you to them but I can't seem to find them on either site anymore. They were already on clearance and there were dead bugs in them despite being factory sealed so they may have been really old stock they were clearing out, so uh, sorry.
