>”Ook.”
>Gop is an Okoto Mountain Gorilla. Traditionally, these creatures escaped Kejeku’s interest as they were extremely docile despite their immense physical power. Yet one day, he found his yellowfruit shipments raided; utterly destroyed. The perpetrator was Gop, and he has worked for the Beast Lord ever since, doing his bidding in exchange for the pulpy goodness he craves.
>”Surrender, and you will have one less scar this day.”
>Shika Nua is a beast-woman: a rare breed of creature from the long-since disappeared Southern Isles. Specifically, she is a half-snake, and this makes her fighting style unpredictable as it is – to say nothing of her six arms, each as dextrous as its fellow. While the beast tribes are usually fiercely independent and distrustful of the Okotoan people, she was drawn to Kejeku upon learning that they shared a common enemy: Ozar, King of the Bandits. Since meeting him she has served loyally, all in the hopes that one day she will be able to go up against Ozar in the arena, and rid the island of his miserable existence.
>”Come one, come all – to the show of a lifetime!”
>Kejeku is a member of the tribe of stone. Once upon a time, he was a big game hunter who brought many an exotic meal back to his people. Yet, greed got the better of him when he travelled to the City of the Mask Makers as he devised a plan for affluence. He would tame beasts big and small; but all deadly, and pit them against the gladiators of the arena for sport and for profit. He is now wealthy enough to run what amounts to a monopoly on the fights, and is barely shy of being a gangster. When he participates in the arena himself, he does so astride a golden chariot pulled by the most loyal-yet-volatile of Okoto’s monstrous animals: the Giant Fire Ant.
