>>8794687Amongst the rarer sets, there is the second wave of "Epic Collection" packs, including Dark Apprentice, Dark Forces Rising, and Courtship of Princess Leia. Each pack took the form of a book and included 3 ships and 3 figures, based on Expanded Universe books (pic related is the Dark Apprentice set, famous for including Exar Kun as well as the only toy representation of Dorsk 81).
For the standard vehicles 3-packs, Collections XIV (Death Star, Swoop Bike, Imperial Landing Craft) and XV (V-35 Landspeeder, Outrider, Tibanna Gas Refinery) which included ships added in the Special Edition are quite sought after.
For figures packs, the final 3 (Bounty Hunters, Endor Strike Team, Imperial Scout Troopers) command quite a premium.
Then there are some mini-heads packs that are quite rare (each included 3 mini transforming playsets in the form of a character head, as well as the associated figure).
Also, some of the Episode 1 MicroMachines are amongst the rarer (bad distribution at the end due to the brand failing to succeed).
If you're interested, I can share a few more pictures. Then again, depending on what toys you're used to collect, the "premium" for MicroMachines is relative. It is to be noted that other MicroMachines lines can also become quite expensive (Starship Troopers, Power Rangers, Biker Mice, some Star Trek ships...). There are not necessarily a lot of collectors, but there are not a lot of MOC items available for those lines, as these had a somewhat limited distribution and lack of success at retail.
