I distinctly remember my dad found him in the freezer and humorously commented on it, which was weird because he was one of those stoic 90s dads who typically never said anything, or more likely would have yelled at me for wasting freezer space.
I found out, shortly after, that my grandmother had died that morning, and he was trying to soften the blow. It didn't really work. A big part of my childhood innocence died that day.
