>>6621089Time to take off those pants, Sabine! The pants are Sabine’s only cloth accessory. They’re made of the paperlike material with printed on details that Hasbro & Mattel love to do. Funny how most knock-off doll fashions use varying materials & patterns instead of this.
Taking off Sabine’s pants reveals a number of surprises below the waist. First is that she (and I assume the rest of the FoD dolls) is flat footed with rather large feet. Some of you SJW types may be saying, “Good! I hate Barbie’s stereotypical tiny arched tootsies.” But you’d be wrong! Large flat feet on a doll equals one thing: Having a hell of a time getting those damned boots off! Even though the back slit of the boot is down to the heel, I still couldn’t get them off her big feet. It took a hairdryer to soften the plastic to get the damned things off. I can’t see a child doing that by themselves with out major risk in destroying either the doll or boots. Possibly both.
The next surprise is just how little articulation there is for the hips. Sabine can only swing her legs 90 degrees forward. She can’t even do the splits. Knees can bend 90 degrees and they’re ratcheted with a series of disturbing clicks when moved.
The last and most baffling surprise is her panty area. You can’t see it in the pic, but there’s a dot pattern indicating that she’s wearing some molded on material on her crotch. However, it’s painted in her brown skin color. WHY??? The unpainted color underneath is dark gray like the rest of her torso? Why unnecessarily use paint apps to color that area flesh-tone? It makes no sense!
