>>5511513I get where you're coming from, but I'm guessing most people don't care since it just makes a good display piece. Most people are just going to put it on a shelf, maybe next to the Figuarts or Legacy toys, and just leave it as is. Anyone who wears it will mainly be doing it for cosplay, in which case most people would notice the quality of the rest of the costume before focussing on the belt area. Besides, the fact that it has been used in official media(albeit not the one most people are going to associate the thing with since its a glorified cameo, you can argue that automatically does make it show accurate to something.
I get your thing about it not being an exact replica, but I'm not sure if any of the Legacy roleplay releases is supposed to be, really. The weapons are probably blunted compared to the show prop. The quality is probably slightly less(its hard to tell, what with old tv cameras making low grade props more flattering). And most tellingly, the Legacy weapons all have action features that I doubt the actual props had. I doubt the blade blaster prop had buttons to switch between modes; they probably even had a different prop for each form. The dragon dagger prop didn't have speakers to play the music of course, that was all done in post. And I don't think the same prop Saba was used for both fight sequences and "Talking" sequences.
