>>8735571>>8735571Forgot to mention, that for whatever reason, the canopy on this one is trans-red instead of trans-dark-blue. Why that is, I can't really say for sure, but having tried it with a blue canopy as well I can confirm this one just "looks" better. Either that or I'm just to it looking like this from all the pictures of it I've seen before actually having it.
Also forgot to mention its arms are on a sort of a ratchet mechanism that can be blocked and released at once, allowing you to recreate that catalog image where the arms of the robot smash down on monorail tracks. It's one of the best and most fun features in a set I've seen so far.
Next up we have the Lunar Launch Site.
This is the faction's largest (and only) base. It comes with a rather small number of figures (3) and with a few play features.
The main feature is that the mountain off to the side of the base will split open revealing a hidden launch site. Whether that's a weapon or a satellite is up to you. The set also comes with a landing pad for the commander's ship (also comes with that particular ship). The raised baseplate's ramp is really good at making the included small rover go really fast.
Other than that there's a small room at the back behind the large trans-dark-blue piece where a few computers are placed, presumably for controlling operations. You can access it because part of the wall can be swung out of the way. There's really not much else besides that, there's a lot of detail and greebling but I feel the same baseplate was used to better effect for Blacktron 2's main base.
Overall I don't enjoy this set that much, I feel like they tried to get too much done, and got all of it done but feeling a bit lackluster. Still, they gave you a bit of everything with it, so I can't fault it too much.
Also have to mention the antenna build at the top that can be raised and lowered. Really enjoyed that for whatever reason.
