FFVI is still my favorite in the series. I was 13 when it came out and I can't tell you how hyped I was for it. I kept looking at the same 3 screenshots of it in my Nintendo Power preview and I wouldn't leave this one kid in the grade above me alone with questions about it, because apparently he had played it. I remember it was $80 at Walmart, which would be over $150 today. Well worth every penny, though.
Would I buy FF6 toys? Hell yeah. The only physical thing I have is a Cyan keychain I found in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. Regrettably I didn't consider his value while leaving him hanging from the rearview mirror of my old car so he got a little sun faded. Sometimes they other characters pop up from time to time on the online marketplace, so I might fuck around some day and get the whole collection. We'll see.
