Like, the original toy's shoulders prevented him from really using his in-theory decent arm articulation because if you moved them forwards at all the entire shoulder pylon had to move with it, meaning a lot of poses either looked silly or were just impossible. I know Laser Prime's shoulders are a bit of a hot button issue but I feel like when the choice is "fixed shoulders that block 180 degree rotation" or "moving shoulders that look patently horrible in a lot of poses so even if you DO have the arms able to go 180 they just look stupid" the former is preferable as you actually get a wider range of good looking poses.
The FH Megatron, whilst not 100% my cup of tea aesthetically (friend has him though and apparently he's super fun as a toy) does the shoulders very well with them being separate pylons that can sit on top of his shoulders but get out of the way of 90% of poses.
