I'm replaying Skies of Arcadia for the umpteenth time, and I can't stop thinking about how neat it would be to have figures, especially of Aika. There's something about her outfit, colors, the crazy hair and gigantic transparent boomerang that make me think she would be a stupidly fun Figma or somesuch.
Shame that it seems to be Sega's most memorable-yet-forgotten franchise. Remakes/ports/remasters have been spoken about directly from Sega for the past 10+ years with none of them actually seeing the light of day. It got representation in Sega All-Stars racing, a huge statue from First Four, and even just had a fully licensed, vinyl edition of its soundtrack released with a collectible, hand-made music box coming out next month. I think that's what's most frustrating, the game somehow manages to stay in the public eye, but we never get anything of substance out of it. It'd be easier if the game was just completely forgotten, then we wouldn't have the constant teases, from Sega themselves, even.

Meanwhile, plenty of fans of other franchises have to suffer with nothing.
