>>8198142I really enjoyed doing it. I could say that it's not totally accurate, but it's lego, you know? What are you going to do? I may modify it. There is the temptation to make another of the YT1300 variants. The one I'm most curious about making is the one with the central cockpit. The layering of detail, below the main hull, and recessed, is also really nice to look at. It adds detail depth that I really enjoy looking at. The panel fits could also be a bit better, but it's a great looking piece.
>>8198158I have to admit, I came to Lego rather later than the release of that model. I do love the look of it, and it's simplicity. I was more into the slightly later one, not sure which set it was. I always lusted after a Falcon set, but I'm kinda autistic when it comes to scales, and always promised myself that if I were to get a Falcon, it's be UCS. I feel the printing thing, too. It's rather irksome. Not a deal breaker, but it'd be nice to know that it's really well and truly on there.
>>8198159I'm already having that problem, owing to a couple of reasons. It's why I own a make-up brush. It's great for dusting and really getting in the awkward places!
And thank you! The plan, right now, is to put it on a stand. From there, I will be building it into a table, yes. Though I'll be either making it a Hoth or Tattooine diorama for it. I made a small Hoth one for an AT-ST, so it'd be fitting. That or the same hanger from Rogue Squadron 1, as that game played a huge part of my own childhood. Actually, all I need to do it make the V-wing from that game, and I'll have the full Rebel fleet.
