The official McFarlane Toys discord only gets two dozen active participants in NFT events and only about half of them are regularly active in discussion, and most of them work directly for McFarlane Toys. It's a price hike that was justified for monopoly money no one wants, for a scam that McFarlane employees are making a personal profit from.
It's a small community, like less than thirty people globally, but the entire market is being forced to pay more than double what a normal figure would be.
That's why everyone was pissed, not because of the cost.
