Most military planes TODAY look like they're based on OTHER MODERN era planes.
But if you go further back, they're different from what we've seen. Just like what we saw in the prequels.
25 years time inbetween each era is enough to see completely different changes that Lucas actually sought out.
The sequels being what they are are truly just lazyass shit that are only there to try and get your nostalgia-money. A cheap cash in and it didn't work, and fans are calling them out for it.
