And Ridley Scott needs executive meddling to override his stupid shit, while George Lucas just needed an editor and someone to spruce up his dialogue.
I don't know how much of it is bullshit, in order to trick fans that George Lucas is a creative genius, but even a little bit of input from George Lucas seems to work a magic that makes medciocrity a little more special. His supposed input made me buy up all this shit from Rogue One.
Whereas Ridley's stuff is just cringe. Haven't really liked anything from him since the 00s. Last one i liked was Gladiator, but man, it doesn't hold up on the second viewing. There's a beginning, middle, and end. Oscar winner right there.
