>>9546091Alright so after some downsizing and rethinking I've got something I've like. I went down to a 4x9 space with a 2x2 segment at the end to make it flush with my workbench, and it feels like it actually fits the room. It's got two main loops: the outer one that just goes around the perimeter of the table, and the inner loop that makes up most the actual layout. I sacrificed a lot of the operation desires I had in the previous design and went with more runaround options with a few industries adjacent wherever seemed best. The blue highlighted area is gonna be a small town that has a few rail-served industries with the brown industry right above it being a power station and the green building to the right being a Grain Mill maybe?. The two industries to the left of the bridge are a coal mine and a factory/freight yard, and the bottom right area's will have an engine shed. A small river cuts down the middle of the layout leading down the mountain in the top left while also providing some scenic interest. I'm not sure what I want to do with the yellow area just yet, either more town or another rail-served industry connected to the outer loop.
