One thought that struck me while building is that while all four guns of the main armament can shoot in just about any direction, a full broadside would probably make life very exciting on the bridge. Then I read up a bit on the battle of the Yalu river, and apparently Chen Yuen's sister had her bridge collapse after the very first salvo, and that was likely not a broadside but fired straight ahead...
The two small boats here are also all the instructions would have me use, despite there being racks for more on the ship and the sprues having another eleven assorted boats, launches, etc on them. Perhaps when they decided the main gun shields were mostly shrapnel sources the boats were likewise seen as mostly just splinters and firewood?
