I suppose the first thing I remember getting then was the old 80s SDF that was sold with the Robotech line. And a bunch of other Robotech stuff. No chance in hell I'd find that in fleamarkets now but in like 1995/6 when I did this there was plenty of stuff like Robotech and G1 transformers to be found. The only toys that were beginning to be gouged at this point were Kenner Star Wars.
