He's old, seen the worst of war, probably had to be retrofitted multiple times to keep himself up and running. Does he care and having some robot kibble in alt mode? Does he care about the hubs that were installed backward? No, slag no, he's got far more important concerns: Guiding and training new Autobots and continuing the fight against Decepticon imperialism. Despite that he can still wear a cheery demeanor just fine. He hasn't forgotten the peace and cooperation that he longs to see return to Cybertron. Cosmetic repairs can wait... right now he's got a war to win. His robot mode looks like a tough old soldier with strength to spare, his alt mode is simultaneously ruggedly practical and charming in its blocky proportions. Plus I love the kind of small trucks that he's inspired by, those ones that are popular in rural Europe and Asia.
