Either the quality control in your part of the world is abhorrent, or your hands are caustically sweaty. That's the reason 90% of loose cars have paint missing from the wheels - because they aren't treated the same way the bodies are and kids always pick them up by the wheels, rubbing their sweat into them.
Is the Aerodisc overused? Abso-fucking-lutely. It was fine when they kept it within JDM and retro castings like the Countach Pace Car for instance. Now they use it on virtually every second car and I'm starting to get sick of it.
But outside of Real Riders and specialty wheels like HOs, what other good modern HW wheel types are there?
5SPs are boring and ancient. PR5s are even more boring. Y5s are interesting, but rarely appear anymore. Same with LWs. 10SPs are shit. OH5s and FTEs are fucking garbage and I'm glad they've disappeared. CM6s were Acceleracer kiddie bait. 50Ls are really cool (picrel) but don't appear in anything; they're like a smaller, less obnoxious BLING wheel. RA6s are crap. DD8s/ST8s are also really fucking cool but rarely appear on anything. 3SPs were awesome but they killed them, same with the previously-mentioned SBWs.
