As designed right now the shock absorbers will not actually compress when the leg is articulated, or offer any significant structural support due to the pivoting arms at either end. If you would like for them to compress, the pivoting arm closest to the foot will need its travel to stop at a 90° angle relative to the "Shin". If you dont alter that its not an issue, the ratchet joints sufficiently hold the weight of the cabin.
