I agree the Super7 figures over overpriced by a solid $5, but they are super fun and everything I "want" from a kaiju toy, so I don't mind that over paying a little every now and again. But I usually buy them on sale if online and only pay retail if I actually see one at local shop and can look at the paint application, where I'd say 1 out of 5 are a dud.
But I often see them on sale on Amazon or by Super7 themselves on their site. I got Gigan, King Ghidorah and Mothra online each for under $15 by just being patient and watching. If buying from amazing and you can just request a return/replacement if you get a dud and chances are your replacement will look nice. I did that with no issue.
My Rodan's wings are super floppy. They move, but don't stay I'm place. That's my biggest complaint about this line. I returned two figures before settling with my third abd accepting all of them are like that. The wings on Mothra abd King Ghidorah are fantastic though.
