I guess this is why you think the Japanese market is somehow bigger, because you don't actually pay attention to the western one.
And i should point out that Japanese collector companies are also making toys for the US market too. Figuarts, Figmas, etc have official US distribution. So those Japanese companies are also supported by the much larger US market, hence buying up more licenses and releasing more figures than they normally would.
