>>10088411You think I don't know that about cost of labor or, more specifically, parts count and economies of scale? But guess what, chucklefuck, all you gotta do is look at other lines and you'll see that ReAction is a shitty, cheap product to pull in as much cash as possible.
For 10-20, you can get Fortnite figures of the same scale with modern articulation, accessories, and character likenesses that are licensed. Halo, GI Joe when Hasbro didn't go completely to 1/12 for it, and Star Wars. These aren't cheap properties either.
Or, let's go a lil further since you'll weasel-worm your way to some other goalpost. JoyToy and Hiya Toys both produce 1/18 figures of great articulation and lots of detail, usually with accessories, all at the $20 mark. Using a Xeno here because it shows off the articulation they use, but they do this level of articulation for most of their figures where it can be applied.
ReAction are just Pop! by a different kitschy standard. You wanna defend them? Fine and dandy, but I'm allowed to be disappointed when companies as large as Hasbro dangle shit like
>>10069786when we KNOW they are capable of far, far better products at equivalent or better pricing. That is what I mean by 'throwing bones' at those of us who collect the scale. It's barely anything, it doesn't satisfy, and yet they make it out to be a huge favor. Enjoy the corpo-dick or whatever you're swilling down, because this is just the lighter version of what MTG fans are getting via the $999 proxy boosters.
