There's such a wide gap in sales between budget children toys and direct market collector toys that collector toys from Diamond/NECA/Mezco/DCD/McFarlane/Palisades/SOTA went from being $3-5 more than shit found in target/walmarts/TRUs to now costing $10-25 more. They don't sell in high volume to keep prices low, so every little increase in the cost of oil/materials/labor/shipping kept being added to the price. You see the same with Japanese collector toys going from $22 to $60+ in only 10 years.
