The whole situation with the legality of Macross in the West is very heartbreaking because the creator is fully aware Macross has fans internationally and he wishes he could release his shows internationally but can't because of the legal issues. He's also hurt that Harmony Gold continues to make money off the Macross brand and designs without crediting the original creators.
