It lacks refinement, this is obviously not a weathering job by an experienced master or anything, but I'll take a weathering powdered-kit any day over one that's been cut/stabbed with a knife, burnt with a lighter, slopped all over with silver paint, slathered with black all over, etc. There are a lot of really shit first weathering jobs out there, I wouldn't count yours among them.
