I'm completely new to Lego. Never actually even built a set, but I was looking online and stuff like this interested me
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003228728572.htmlI did some further research, and it looks like these sets are MOCs which people made, and on AliExpress they just stole the designs and sell them at a markup. Can I trust their quality or is it going to be a shitshow when it's a 5000 piece set?
It does seem like you can get parts lists yourself but I'm not entirely sure how it works.
Where can I look to source the parts myself for cheap? I've trick bricklink but it doesn't really seem cheap, or at least, cost effective in comparison to the AliExpress listing. So where's a good place? I don't have issues with buying cheap replica pieces, the quality is probably the same, right?
I'm in the UK. Appreciate any help or advice with any of this. thanks
