>>7952017Not at all. Those kits were clearly based off fhe Bandai kits. They didn't have the same armor gimmick, but some of their assembly was clearly copied from the Bandai design like on the thighs, and their hands are clearly just straight recasts of the open hands from the Mega Armor kits.
Jazwares even did the same kinda thing with their first wave of figures, i.e. the really ugly ones. The 10 inch line had projectiles based off the buster weapons from Bandai's X variants (Magnet Mine, Tornado Fang, etc.), and they also had a removable chest armor gimmick that was clearly inspired by the Mega Armor line, complete with similar mechanical details underneath. The sculpt of the Z-saber was also clearly inspired by the one from Bandai's Zero model.
