I don't get why everyone is acting like the design all lays on Anno. Higuchi had as big a role on this as him, and his new godzilla does look like it takes a few cues from the creatures of his terrible attack on Titan movie.
Regardless of the design and all the Ham-fisted buzzword crap, the movie will probably be good, the first godzilla since like 1984 to touch on big contemporary nuclear things happening, and looks to have a lot more substance than any big budget action thing coming out of Hollywood right now
