Not to Greg, but it seems like a smart decision. You can see in BOA, when I think Takua, Jaller, and Hahli sneak up on Macku and Hewkii, Hahli is the only one who's studying their embarrassment. Subsequently, she chooses to copy Macku by putting a flower in Jaller's mask (he really pulls in the chroniclers? oddly Takua was more the hero that episode). This deeply suggests romance is learned behavior. Splitting Jaller and Hahli off from Macku, and putting Macku on hold, could have significant cultural effects. It helps redistribute authority in a way, lest Macku be romance's lone origin story.
