>>10243742Were you even here last year, when the Snake Eyes movie bombed and then the post-Christmas lull?
SSDD.
And the post-Christmas lull has been a thing since forever, because toy companies used to stop putting out news for new products starting in December until February's Toy Fair.
It's only with the plague scare in the past 3 years that toy companies started doing random reveals more often.
GI Joe is a toyline on life support, so it's not going to have a lot of products being announced.
>>10244541>>10244552>>10244587Hasbro knows what they're doing. They're funneling sales into the 6" by putting up the bare minimum support for other lines. GI Joe always had the largest adult fanbase since the 00s and made up more than 20% of sales even back then (8% is the norm).
Hasbro makes more money from the $20 figures and to suddenly switch back to $10 figures ($15 today?), would cause a huge loss in revenue. There's no turning back without ruining the company, unless they continue pumping up the price on 6" figures and make $20 4" figures seem like a deal.
oh wait, isn't that happening already?
PS, Hiya's 1:18 line is still missing from many retailers, despite supposedly being ready for a February release. Hiya's been great with their release schedule with barely any delays, so it makes me wonder if Hasbro might be cock blocking them. If so, does this mean Hasbro might be making a comeback line?
