But I just realized, I think I bought a water-based primer when I'm using oil-based paints, specifically lacquer. Will that work or do I just need to eat the loss and buy a lacquer primer? I'm curious because I was told that you shouldn't mix lacquer and acrylic paints, but I tried putting a little primer on some spare plastic, then put some paint on top. It seems fine, but I don't know if there will be any long term consequences. Also, if I need a lacquer primer, what kind should I get?
