Time to get the engine pods off of their casting blocks and oh dear that wasn't intentional. Luckily what followed the casting block off here is one of the main undercarriage bay doors, and as I'm going to build gear down they will have to come off anyway (and no "cut loose and then glue back on" nonsense, there's PE for the open doors). The filler-coloured spot on the side of the other pod was something a bit more severe though, the part was simply short-shot with a hole there. Luckily the inside there will be near impossible to see so I could just push in some filler from that side and sand the outside down after it set while leaving the inside looking like absolute shite.
I left what remained of the gear doors in place for the main filling and sanding, so now you also get to see roughly what state things were in before that. Fixing the mould line/seam/block attachment line here also brought up another aspect of resin-building life: you fill sand, open up some new air bubbles as you sand, so you fill and sand those...
