I'm trying to make yarn wigs, but the longest I can get without the yarn getting destroyed is about 5in/13cm a bit longer after ironing. I've tried a few brands and they all seem to get fucked beyond that length, unless I'm doing something wrong. But I see projects like pic related with very long hair, I need longer hair than 5in for some projects running out of ideas on what i could change to get longer wefts.
I've followed quite a few tutorials including the person that made the one in this pic, but they all just fashion short-medium length wigs, and haven't heard anyone comment on trying to comb longer segments of yarn. Has anyone tried this method at all?
